The mineralogy and petrology laboratory is equipped with modern facilities for sample preparation, analyzing different minerals, rocks and gemstone identification. The laboratory offers services on for rock cutting, polishing, and preparation of thin and polished sections. The laboratory uses Digital Polarized Microscopes and X-ray machines in identifying rock types and behaviors.

Also, the laboratory cuts and polishes specimens for dimension and decoration stones.
