Chemical Laboratory

Chemical laboratory’s main functions are determination of elements in rocks, soils, plants and water samples for mineral exploration and Environmental Monitoring applications.

Some of the services offered by the chemical laboratory include:

  1. Sample preparation (grinding of rocks) for further laboratory investigations;
  2. Analysis of Base Metals and Trace Elements, precious metals and environmental pollutants such as mercury, zinc, pollutant elements e.g Hg, Pb, Zn, Cd, Ar in rocks, soils, water and biological materials;
  3. Analysis of environmental samples (water, plants and soil) for assessing environmental impacts associated with mining activities.
